This month, I’ve been using a lot less make up. It’s summer, it’s hot, a face full of make up is not that comfortable, and I’m not in the mood to do touch ups every hour because my face is melting off.
I’ve been loving two mascaras this month; of course they’re water proof! First is the DiorShow. It’s lovely and I can’t get enough. It stays in place even though I’m fighting waves at the beach and it makes my eyelashes look so long and full–beautiful! Using my Fresh Soy Facial cleanser, I get this mascara off easily without hurting my eyes. Second is Clinique High Impact Waterproof Mascara in 01 Black. I have a small sample size and love it for my bottom lashes. The formula is great and the wand is perfect for my bottom lashes. The DiorShow mascara wand is big and does not make a good mascara for getting those small bottom lashes.
My skin has been so happy with month with the First Aid Beauty Facial Cleanser. So so happy! Especially after coming back from Vegas, my skin went through a rough transition; dry air to humid air and oil and sweat. My skin was very unhappy, but this cleanser made the transition easy. I didn’t use this at first and my skin broke out, but after two days of using the cleanser, my skin cleared up and I was a very happy camper.
Since I don’t enjoy wearing a lot of make up but still want to look put together, I like to contour. I’ve been using Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream in Light / Medium. It’s currently too dark for me, but just the right color to give me a nice natural contour without it looking too harsh. If I’m not mistaken, this was a medium coverage that was build-able. It has SPF 35 in it which is a great for the summer time. Hopefully by the end of summer I’ll be able to use this again!
To add some color into my face on summery nights, after I contour, I like to add on some Tarte Blush in the color Memorable. It’s such a nice color that brings a little life back into your skin. It’s very natural but you can also build it up for a more dramatic look. They actually don’t sell this color anymore; such a shame!
