Hello my loves!
So recently I got my very first Birchbox! It came in super late and I was disappointed it took so long to get to me. I put my order in on June 10th and didn’t get it till the 27th. I did see a lot of pictures of everyone and their Birchboxes and mine was a little smaller than others, but I still think I got a good amount for $10.
If you’re wondering what Birchbox is, you can visit their site here. I do plan to do another post on Birchbox later. I want to test out this subscription for a little while before I decide if I like it or not, etc. So far I do like the idea of it and am excited to try out the products.
Now on to what you’ve been waiting for; what was in my Birchbox?
I got Davines Love Shampoo, Conditioner, and Ol All in One Milk; obviously I have way more shampoo than conditioner and the All in One Milk. It says,”this strand-smoothing trio softens, detangles, and tames frizz for remarkably sleek locks.” Mine did leak a small bit in the box, but it didn’t get all over. I am able to open and smell the shampoo, it does smell a bit sweet, but not sickly sweet. I’m excited to try this trio together. I do wish the sample for the conditioner was bigger to match the size of the shampoo. I feel like I’ll have shampoo left over without any conditioner that matches it.
Egyptian Magic, an all-purpose skin cream. It says,”celebs and health professionals alike swear by this all-natural, all-purpose salve.” Because it is called a skin cream, I expected a white, soft texture substance, but this looks to be more waxy like some lip balms. Also Suki, exfoliate foaming cleanswer. It says, “two-in-one cleanser and exfoliator that rejuvenates skin and smells deliciously lemony.” The scent reminds me of the lemon candy, I think it was called lemon head? Just by looking at it, it doesn’t look like its a foaming cleanser, but we’ll just have to see how it goes.
Harvey Prince, Hello Fragrance. It says,”best-selling spritz that mingles cheerful citrus with floral notes. Well, hello there!” MMmmm! I think I will be loving this scent for summer! You notice the citrus notes first, then you can smell the mandarin and grapefruit. I’m excited to try this out!
LAQA & Co., Sheer Lip Lube Pencil in Bees Knees. It says, “a high gloss, semi-sheer lip color that’s perfect for summer. Bonus: It smells minty fresh!” To be honest, I was most excited for this product! It does smell minty fresh, like a peppermint candy. When you take the top off and close your eyes, you wouldn’t know that it’s a lip pencil you’re smelling.
I’ve never heard of any of these brands or products so I’m excited to try these out! You can expect reviews to be coming up this month!
