Hello my lovelies,
Today is a very exciting day! I did a swap with the lovely, lovely Megan from TheStylishBum. If you don’t know her, you should go get to know her. She was my first subscriber and I really wanted to get to know my subscribers more so I asked if she would like to do a swap with me, and I was so ecstatic when she said yes! If you want to see what I got her, you can go check out her post here!
So we originally decided on our top 5 holly grail items, but as I got to know her more, my holly grail were suited more for my combination skin and my oily parts, more than her dry skin. On top of that, I thought of several different products that I wanted her to try as she doesn’t have a full Sephora shop near her. We then changed it to a budget of $50 which worked perfectly for me.
Through this swap, I would like to think that I made a new friend that happened to enter the blogging world at a similar time as me, and hopefully we can grow as individuals, as well as our blogs, together. Hopefully you’ll see more of Megan in my future posts.
But now on to what you’re really here for, the products I was gifted. I had told her that I really wanted to try e.l.f. and NYX products out, seeing as I couldn’t find it as easily here in Hawaii or I didn’t have a store near by that I could pop into.
Here is the e.l.f Eyebrow Kit in medium. I’ve tried it out a few times and it’s the perfect shade and I’ve really been enjoying it lately. The darker shade on the left is a gel and the one on the right is a powder. I enjoy using the gel to fill in and shape my eyebrows, then come in with the lighter, powder shade to help set everything.
This is e.l.f. All Over Color Stick in Pink Lemonade, and Megan has hit the nail on the head with this one. I’m in love with the color and it goes on very beautifully.
After we got our packages, Megan emailed me telling me a little about the products she got me, and I have to agree that this blush and bronzer duo reminds me a of NARS Orgasm and Lagoona.
I’m totally an eyeliner kind of person and I’m excited to try this gel eyeliner out. I hate having to go out without eyeliner and mascara, I feel that it helps make my face look a lot more presentable.
I’m really excited to try the NYX Infinite Shadow Stick. I’ve never tried an eyeshadow in stick form and I can’t wait to start thinking of looks you could do with this. The NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil is a beautiful white / silver shimmery color that looks wonderful on the inner corners and lower lash line to help you look more awake.
I don’t usually use highlighters, probably because most times I feel like I can’t be bothered, but when I do, I usually enjoy the look. Now that I have a new product to try out, I hope it will encourage me to start highlighting!
Readers, don’t forget to give this post a “like” if you would like to see swatches and reviews on the products. Also let me know in the comments below if you would like to see more swaps or maybe even guest posts.
